Now that you have identified the Clickbank product that you are going to promote as an affiliate marketer, what you need to do next is research the keywords related to that product.
You can use a freeware called Good Keywords tool to do your research. Good Keywords is a free Windows software for finding the perfect set of keywords for your web pages. Knowing the right keywords to target is very important because your site should provide what people are searching for.
(There is also another free script that you can use to research for your keyword. This tool allows you to identify the number of competing websites with the same optimized keyword. It is definitely a good gauge to see if you can rank highly in the search engines instantly. The free script can be found here.)
For example if you have identified a info product on ‘How to Start a Day Care Business’, the breakdown of the keywords will be something like this;

You now then need to shorten your keyword list to the most relevant to your product. You also need to take into account the number of searches done per month.

Once you have done your keyword research, you should have at least 10 good keywords that are relevant to your product, well-searched, and should not have much competition.
